At Friendly Design Co., AI doesn’t generate a product. Our strategy, design thinking, writing, and recommendations come from our human team, informed by experience, shaped by relationships, and grounded in your mission and work. We will never outsource that.

We use AI when processing information, like synthesizing research, analyzing data, and reviewing content at scale, so our time is spent on the work that requires judgment.

We’re deliberate about what goes into these tools. We evaluate how any tool that we use handles confidentiality, privacy, and data security, both for our clients and for our studio, and we won’t adopt anything that puts either at risk.

The AI field is moving fast, so we encourage our team to test new tools and share what’s working, and we expect our practices to evolve. What won’t change is the values behind our decisions or who’s responsible for the result.

We care about the planet. We understand that AI runs on infrastructure we don’t control, and that our being careful with it doesn’t undo the environmental cost. Every year since 2019, we have given 1% of our revenue back to environmental organizations and advocates working to regulate the industry in a safe, sustainable way.
